When Chanda's secrets was banned, it does not say! But for a fact, Chanda's secrets did win and get nominated by many book publishers. For example; in 2005 it got an award by Michale L. Printz and it got nominated by CLA young adult book nominee. In 2004 it got awarded by forceword magazine and in 2007 it was nominated to several state book award list.
